The seventh moon of Suarbi drifted lazily ahead of the viewport. Beyond it, the blank abyss of space stretch out in every direction. The view at first was dizzying, but after a few moments, one could focus enough to grow accustomed to it. From this vantage point, the growing traffic of ships coming and going from the planet below was easy to pick out. The flow was almost relaxing. Suarbi 7/5, or Susefvi as the natives called it, was a creature whose place in the galaxy was growing with each passing day. With that growth came increase in commerce, huge fluctuations in the importing and exporting of the planet's goods, but also there was always a shadow to progress. This shadow was the increase in crime as powers both off-world and native sought to take control of the rising current of underworld activities. But this was always the way it was. You could not improve the positive without also giving room for the negative. Light and dark. Good and evil. They were married, like it or not.
The Jedi Master of the orbiting station S.A.B.R.E., sat in her chambers staring blanking out of the viewport and the spectacle of Susefvi. Myras Almaida had come a long way from the young Jedi ambassador that had been sent to Susefvi to bridge the peace with the native Jensaarai Force tradition. During her first mission here she had been forced to face the full power of the Dark Side. The ordeal had left her scarred emotionally for sure, but the greatest loss was his near disconnection to the Force. She looked past the ships to the planet below that they swarmed about and shivered. On Susefvi, where she had been tortured, the Force was all but a distant memory to her. At least here, orbiting high above in her Enclave, she could hear it's whisper again... faintly but present. When she was at peace, focused, and serene, the whisper became tangible. But not on Susefvi. No, that place gave her only one pathway to reach the Force. Anger. She used that anger once before to free herself from the Dark Side abomination, Yaago'eth. But swore to never take that path again.
As Myras moved her gaze to the vast emptiness of space she gained a little more understanding of her condition. The Force was like space. Mostly empty. But if you concentrated enough, focused your efforts, you could find that one star or planet that you sought and touch it. Everything, and every one, were just floating out there, connected by the Force but separated by the sheer distance. Just objects in space. The thought wasn't one of regret or anger, not even of self pity. Just a revelation of peace.
It wasn't so bad though. Here on her S.A.B.R.E., she had been given the opportunity to teach and prepare the Jedi who wished to go to Susefvi. From here, the S.A.B.R.E. was not used as a weapon, but instead a bridge between two sister Orders. A bridge that she would protect with her last dying breath. And with that thought, Jedi Master Myras Almaida lifted herself from the floor she had been meditating on and turned to the assembly of new Jedi, freshly arrived to Susefvi. Many of them had come at the will of their masters to watch and guard for signs of darkness. Who are you kidding? They are here to guard against the Jensaarai and most of them know that.
Myras shook the thought await before addressing the assembly. "Greetings. I am Master Almaida, custodian of S.A.B.R.E. and the peace with the Jensaarai. You have all come here was watchful servants of the Force, and as Jedi. I will not assume to tell you your place or your purpose here. I am not your master. But I will caution all of you that while the Force is strong on this planet, and while the Jensaarai do not do things the same as us, this is their planet. We are guests here. Allies in the battle against the Dark Side. Know that they are not our enemies, and if for a moment you doubt that, the return shuttle to Coruscant awaits you back thorugh the door you came.
"Before any of you may be granted access to the shuttle planetside, I would like you to all go to your assigned quarters. There you will find materials on our relations with the Jensaarai as well as their ways and culture. Please be sure to study them and prepare yourself. Only after you have learned to see with eyes unclouded by hate and prejudice will the shuttle be ready to take you to Susefvi. In the meantime, S.A.B.R.E. is our enclave. here you will find all that you need to live, study and train as Jedi.
"Thank you."
